Celebrating 150 years of Wells & Co.
In 1876, Charles Wells opened the doors of his Bedford brewery and laid the foundations for what would become Wells & Co. One hundred and fifty years on, we are proud to be celebrating this milestone as an independent, fifth-generation family business.
This anniversary is a moment to reflect on the people, pubs and partners who have shaped our journey – and to say thank you to everyone who has played a part in it. From our hometown Bedford roots to our pubs across the UK and France, it is their passion and commitment that define who we are today.
Throughout the year, we will be marking 150 years with a series of events, stories and celebrations across our estate and at Brewpoint. While we are proud of our heritage, this milestone is equally about looking ahead – continuing to evolve, invest and build a business that will thrive for the next 150 years.
We are still independent. Still family owned. And still focused on delivering exceptional hospitality for generations to come…
