We recently joined episode #124 of the Beer Prime podcast, where beer sommelier and brewery tour host Tim Hickford delivered a rundown of who we are, from our beers and our pubs to what drives Wells & Co today. Catch the episode here.
Before recording, Beer Prime host and founder Paul Newton joined one of Tim’s brewery tours for a behind-the-scenes look at Brewpoint, where the group sampled six beers as part of a private tasting.
On the podcast, Tim talked through our brewing evolution. From producing millions of pints at the Eagle Brewery, to around five million a year today at our brewery home, Brewpoint. He highlighted how our setup lets us brew it all – hazy IPAs, nitro favourites, West Coast hop bombs and crisp lagers – and allows us to stay fleet of foot enough to get ahead on the latest trends.
He also spotlighted our 180 pubs across the UK (plus a few in France), where most of our beer is poured, keeping us closely tied to our communities. And yes, we’re collaborating with fellow independent family brewers to boost sustainability and expand our reach.
As Tim says on the podcast: “Our business has always been about more than just pints. It’s about creating memorable moments, supporting great teams and doing things the right way.”
Big thanks to Beer Prime for having us, and to everyone across Wells & Co for making our story worth telling. Make sure to give the episode a listen for the full story! And here’s to more great chats over great beer!
