The Brim & Crown in Bramingham Park has celebrated its 40th anniversary with a community-focused garden party, marking four decades of serving as a home from home for local residents.
The anniversary celebrations, held on Saturday (12th September), brought together customers, families, friends and community groups who have supported the pub over the years. The day featured live entertainment, family activities and opportunities for customers old and new to come together and celebrate everything that makes the Brim & Crown such a special part of the local community.
The celebrations coincided with a significant investment in the pub by Wells & Co., the Bedford-based pub company and brewery, as part of a wider refurbishment project. Improvements include a full external redecoration to enhance the pub’s appearance, bespoke new signage inspired by Luton’s rich hat-making heritage, and enhancements to the garden area to create an even more welcoming space for customers to enjoy.
Jackie Wing, Manager of the Brim & Crown, said, “The Brim & Crown has always been about people. Over the years we’ve been lucky enough to welcome generations of families through our doors, from grandparents bringing in their children, to those children returning years later with families of their own.
“We’ve seen friendships formed, birthdays celebrated, milestones marked and countless memories made here. That’s what makes this pub so special. It’s much more than somewhere to enjoy food and drink, it’s a place where people come together and feel at home.
“The support we’ve received from the local community over the last 40 years has been incredible, and this anniversary was our opportunity to say thank you. Seeing so many familiar faces celebrating with us was very special, and we’re excited to continue creating memories for many years to come.”
Phil Lamb, Retail Development Manager at Wells & Co., added, “As Wells & Co. celebrates its 150th anniversary, we’re proud to invest in pubs like the Brim & Crown that play such an important role in their communities. The stories shared by customers throughout this campaign are a powerful reminder that great pubs are built by the people who use them. We’re delighted to support the Brim & Crown as it enters its next chapter.”
For 40 years, the Brim & Crown has served as a welcoming gathering place for the people of Bramingham Park and the surrounding area. Following its latest refurbishment and anniversary celebrations, the pub is now looking ahead to the future while continuing to build on the community spirit that has been at the heart of its success since 1986.
