I had the pleasure of sitting down for a chat with Felix, to talk about his promotion from Assistant Manager to General Manager at the King Arthur, Lyon.
When you speak to Felix, you immediately get an understanding of who he is as a person. He’s charismatic, his energy is calm and his passion is clear. More than anything else, he values teamwork, trust and fosters a genuine respect for every person who keeps a site running.
Felix joined Wells almost three years ago, starting his career at the King Arthur and quickly establishing himself as someone who truly cared about the relationships he has with his colleagues.
Felix’s approach to management is rooted in the same mindset. Equality and shared purpose. “We’re all in the same boat. I might choose the direction, but I need everyone to help move us forward.”
He believes that every person, no matter their job title, contributes to the bigger picture.
For Felix, promotion to GM came with a mix of gratitude, excitement, and what he jokingly refers to as “good stress.”
“It means that the company trusts me. I’m really delighted. It’s a big responsibility, but it’s the good kind of pressure.”
Stories like Felix’s are still rarer than they should be in many industries, and that’s exactly why this one matters. His promotion represents not only a personal achievement, but also the trust and recognition Wells put in its people.
