Our very-own Genesis Bedford Stout has been crowned Gold Medal winner and Country Winner in the Stouts & Porters category at the 2026 World Beer Awards.
The accolade sees Genesis recognised as the highest-ranked UK beer in its category, standing alongside some of the world’s finest beers in one of the brewing industry’s most prestigious competitions. It’s also the first time one of our beers has achieved Gold at the awards.
The judges further awarded Genesis Bronze position for its can design, while Foghorn, our hazy IPA, picked up Silver in its category.
The awards continue
The success tops off an exceptional run of recognition for Brewpoint beers.
Earlier in the week, Foghorn secured Gold and Category Winner at the regional SIBA East Independent Beer Awards in Peterborough, earning another place at BeerX where it will compete for national honours. Meanwhile, Supernova collected Bronze in the Premium Lager category. Both Foghorn and Supernova also picked up Bronze medals at the International Beer Challenge.
Genesis goes from strength-to-strength
For Genesis, the recognition is particularly significant.
Since launching, Genesis has quietly become one of our most popular and fastest-growing beers. The 4.1% stout is known for its smooth, creamy body, rich roasted malt character and notes of coffee and chocolate, delivering all the flavour stout drinkers are looking for while remaining exceptionally approachable.
The growth of Genesis mirrors wider trends within the beer market, where stout continues to enjoy increasing popularity among drinkers seeking more flavourful and characterful styles.
