The Cross Keys in Pulloxhill has been voted best pub in the inaugural 2025 Mid-Bedfordshire Best Pub of the Year awards.
The competition, run by Mid-Bedfordshire MP Blake Stephenson, had a total of 60 pubs nominated, with 2000 votes cast and our partners at the Cross Keys topped the podium.
Asked what this award means to the pub, owner Paul Meads said, “Firstly I would like to thank all my customers for voting for us.”
“Winning this award is a great testament to all the hard work and commitment we put into running our family business.”
The Meads family have been in charge at the Cross Keys for over 55 years when Peter and Sheila took on the pub in 1970; passing to Paul in 2014 and now with third generation Harry, Paul’s son.
Paul added, “We pride ourselves on providing great food at great prices with a great team.”
Announcing the winner initially on Facebook, Stephenson then paid The Cross Keys a visit to present their award.
