The New Inn Reopens Under New Ownership, Bringing a Fresh Community Spirit to Milton Keynes

The New Inn, a beloved local pub in New Bradwell, Milton Keynes, has reopened under new ownership, ushering in an exciting new chapter for the community.

Now operated by MK local Oliver Claxton, The New Inn is set to become a welcoming hub for families, locals, and four-legged friends alike.

Oliver has deep roots in the area, with his parents, David and Tina, both having grown up locally. His grandparents lived at 2A Bradwell Road – right next door to The New Inn – making this venture a true homecoming. With the support of his family, Oliver is dedicated to revitalising The New Inn and ensuring it remains at the heart of the local community.

In addition to Oliver at the helm, his brother James has taken on the role of Pub Manager, ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly. James will be a key link with locals, on hand to make sure that every customer receives a high-quality experience and service each time they visit.

The New Inn is committed to being a community-led establishment, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere for all. As a family-friendly and dog-friendly venue, and located in an idyllic water-front setting. the pub aims to be a place where locals can relax, socialise, and enjoy quality food and drink in a welcoming environment.

“This pub has always been an important part of the community, and an important part of our family, so I’m really excited to be able to shape the next chapter of its iconic history,” said Oliver. “We want The New Inn to be a place where everyone feels at home – whether you’re stopping by for a pint, a meal with your family, or bringing along your dog after a long walk.”

Pub Manager, James Claxton, added: “Owning and running The New Inn has been an ambition of ours for a long time. I am looking forward to welcoming both existing and new customers into this fantastic pub at the heart of our community!”

An ‘official’ reopening event will be taking place over the St Patricks Day weekend (15th – 17th March) where customers will be able to enjoy a special Irish-themed menu. Local singer-guitarist Stephen Michaels will be providing live music on Sunday 16th to compliment the Sunday lunch service, bringing a collection of some of the best known traditional Irish songs, with a mix of modern classics to ensure there is something for everyone!
